Hidden Camera Abuse
Hidden cameras have a lot of good uses, but unfortunately, some prefer to use them the wrong way. As with anything, you should always do the right thing. I think most of us know what the right thing is and therefore should also know when it is wrong.
There is a recent story about a man putting a hidden camera in his EX wife’s closet. Well, it’s not his wife anymore, so I don’t see where the justification in that came from. The news is always littered with stories of people using hidden cameras inappropriately. Putting them in women’s bathrooms, lockers and such. That’s just inappropriate and is an invasion of privacy. So just don’t do it!
Quite frankly, I think placing hidden cameras in the workplace can be wrong if kept a secret. Why not just put a surveillance camera out in plain site? (Ok, then the employees would know what areas to avoid). Better yet, let the employees know you have hidden cameras throughout the building. That should pretty much guarantee that your honest employees will stay honest.
